We are experienced in arranging travel for all genres of music and the arts and we understand that no two performing groups are alike. Performance programs require very specialized services and knowledge and we have proven history of handling the unique needs of band, orchestra, choir and dance tours as well as music festivals. Your program is designed with personal service from the moment you contact us until your return. Our professional and passionate team will assist you with all of your needs. A dedicated tour planner will be assigned to handle your goals and a knowledgeable Tour Director will accompany you.

About

Owner and President of RS Tours & Travel is a native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and has been in the group travel industry for over 30 years and has specialized in the Student Travel Business since 1997. With a background in marketing, her commitment to quality, professionalism and personal service has made her a top leader in the Student Travel Market.

In the past, Rita has been one of the top travel agent producers for Disney World group sales as well as a top producer in group cruises sales with Carnival Cruise Lines. She was actively involved with CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) and continues to promote “performances at sea” for musical groups!

Ms. Slane has planned thousands of successful trips for students over the years focusing on musical and performance programs which require very specialized services and knowledge; thereby offering every group a rich and educationally diverse travel experience. She has also worked with Language, Social Studies, Class Trips and Dance Teams, Dance Schools and Middle School Trips.

Rita has traveled to Mexico, Hawaii, Canada, Europe (including Spain, Africa, Greece, Greek Islands, Turkey, England, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands, and France) the Caribbean including many cruises. Ms. Slane has personally planned and traveled (domestically) many times to every student destination that RS Tours & Travel offers, customizing each itinerary to meet the group’s unique needs.

Thomas Sarver

Thomas Sarver, Executive Director at RS Tours & Travel. Tom has been in the Travel Industry for 27 years and has a background in Sales and Business Management. He had owned his own Travel Company that specialized in corporate, leisure and international group travel. Tom has received CLIA Certification specializing in working with cruise travel with all major cruise lines. He has dedicated the last 10 years of his career specializing in student travel, working with Music groups, Social Studies, Class Trips, Middle School and Dance Groups helping them to plan unique itineraries to meet their needs.

Tom has traveled extensively within the US to: New York, Tennessee, Chicago, Ohio, Florida, Alaska, California, Louisiana, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Minnesota. In addition to traveling outside the United States to: Mexico, Canada, Aruba, Barbados, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix, Venezuela, Costa Rica, San Jose and Puntarenas. Tom has also personally traveled to all the student destinations that RS Tours & Travel offers. Tom Likes to spend his free time enjoying outdoor activities, traveling to experience unique cultures around the world and enjoying his miniature Alaskan Klee Kai, Nikki!

Sean Slane

Director of Operations

Sean Slane, Director of Operations at RS Tours & Travel. We are pleased to announce that Sean has joined our staff as Director of Operations. Sean has a strong entrepreneur and business background, owning several businesses over the past 8 years and brings experience in marketing and human relations. Sean has traveled extensively throughout the United States including New York, Canada, Williamsburg, Cleveland, Niagara Falls, Washington DC, VA Beach, Myrtle Beach, California, Nevada, Orlando and the islands of the Caribbean and he has been to all of the student destinations that we offer. Sean is the proud father of a daughter, Delanee and enjoys sports, reading, cruising and traveling.

Shannon Slane

Director of Finance

About

Shannon Slane, Director of Finance of RS Tours & Travel. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and has an Associate’s degree in Specialized Business with an emphasis in legal studies and graphic design. Shannon has over 10 years of experience in Finance and Marketing. We are proud to have her join RS Tours & Travel in promoting educational tours for students!

Shannon has traveled extensively throughout the United States including Cleveland, Sandusky New York, Boston, Williamsburg, Washington DC., Virginia Beach, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Orlando including Disney World and the Atlantic beaches. In addition to Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean. She is familiar with all destinations that we offer. Her hobbies are photography, reading and travel. She is the proud Mother of Rilynn and a Springer Spaniel puppy, Kasey.

Alex Katz

Director of Marketing

Alex Katz, Director of Marketing of RS Tours and Travel is the newest member of our team. she has an extensive background in computers and networking and social media, as well as great writing and communication skills. Alex loves traveling and has been to many of the destinations that we offer, including Sandusky, Cleveland, Delaware, Arizona, New Mexico, Siesta Key Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Atlantic City, Gettysburg, Philadelphia, New York, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and New Jersey! Alex loves traveling, drawing, reading, video games and music!
